Who’s Katie Tasman & Why Resilient Table?

Hi there! I’m Katie, and I’m so grateful you’re here.

I’m the heart behind The Resilient Table — a space rooted in sustainable wellness and grounded in real life. I believe in the power of nourishing food, intentional movement, and simple daily practices that support your mind, body, and spirit. Most of all, I believe your wellness journey should be uniquely yours — shaped to fit your life, your rhythms, and your needs.

My own journey began in my early twenties, when a severe hormone imbalance left me anxious, unable to eat, and determined not to settle for a bandaid solution. I didn’t want to mask symptoms; I wanted to understand and heal. I wanted my food, my routines, and my mindset to be my medicine. Slowly — with a lot of persistence — I began to feel well again.

Life stretched me even further when I became a mom to four incredible boys, each of them the bravest foodallergy warriors I know. My mindset shifted again, and my determination deepened. When our youngest was diagnosed with a serious autoimmune condition, our allergist prepared us for the likelihood of developmental delays. That possibility felt unacceptable to me. So once again, I poured myself into my family and my kitchen, nourishing their growing bodies with everything I knew (and everything I was still learning).

Today, our boys — now 18 down to 12 — are strong, healthy, and thriving. Food allergies are part of our daily life, but they don’t define or limit us. Our kitchen has become our creative space — the place where we problem solve, nourish our whole selves, and move through life’s hiccups together. It’s where we bless or block whatever life throws our way.

Now in my 40s, I’m learning to adjust my own picture of wellness as my body changes. Flexibility and grace — for myself and for my boys — have become essential. So whether you’re a new family navigating the overwhelm of a recent food allergy diagnosis or an individual choosing to eliminate certain ingredients, I hope you find support here through my stories and the stories of others.

And if you’d like to work together, I’d love to hear your story and walk with you on your journey toward a fearless, confident, resilient life.
